Photographs of, and by, BeBe Sharman RAF Photographer and Hunter pilot at RAF Jever.
I received these photographs after being contacted by the Webmaster of the RAF Jever website, Wg Cdr Mick Ryan.
From Mick Ryan
"BeBe Sharman, was a professional RAF photographer before he became a pilot flying Hunters on 98 Sqn at RAF Jever. He was a founder member of our organisation and in his honour I am putting up his 5 albums of photographs on our web site. He began his airman's career at RAF Luqa and has many photographs of Malta that may be of interest to you. They were mostly taken Dec47 to Feb51. Best way to find them is to go to Latest from the Home page and then click on any item credited to his widow, Mamie Sharman."
From Mamie Sharman
"Please use any of the photographs that you require, I know that BeBe would have been delighted for his handiwork to be seen by a wider audience, especially if any of them were his contemporaries in Malta. There may be some left, he was only about 19 at the time. In response to requests like this, I usually suggest a small donation to RAFBF. I look forward to logging on to the RAF Luqa Remembered website in due course.
Regards
Mamie Sharman"
As suggested by Mamie anyone enjoying them might like to make a donation to the Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund.
